IP address & gateway configuration in Ubuntu linux

Ubuntu IP & gateway configuration

 Ubuntu Linux Configure:

Open /etc/network/interfaces file:

$ sudo vi /etc/network/interfaces

put the IP Address & subnet mask the press-->

:wq = for quite with save 

:q = for quite if didn't change

:q! = for quite without save 

then Restart Network services:

$ sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
